From DateField.java :

/**
* Returns the field's minimum value.
*
* @return the minimum value
*/
public Date getMinValue() {
if (minDateValidator != null) {
minDateValidator.getMinDate();
}
return null;
}

Can please someone take care of this bug? It is still present in GXT 3.1 beta:

package com.sencha.gxt.widget.core.client.form;
public class DateField ...

/**
* Returns the field's minimum value.
*
* @return the minimum value
*/
public Date getMinValue() {
if (minDateValidator != null) {
minDateValidator.getMinDate();
}
return null;
}

As u see, a "return" is missing. So, this returns always null!

It took me a minute to realize that this is a rather old thread and "Beta 1" referred to GXT 3.0 Beta1

The fix is on its way in, once engineering approves it, will come up in the next release.
