View Full Version : IE7 refreshes after closing a tabbed content panel

Hi there,

I have an application which is based on the "Complex Layout" example.
I must have done something strange, because when I click the close button on the Tabbed Content Panels, the tab is closed and then IE7 refreshes/reloads the complete page. Firefox 2.0 doesn't perform this refresh.
Do I have to stop some event propagation?
Someone seen this problem before? I've searched the forum, but couldn't find anything similar.
I hope someone can help me with this strange problem.
Thanx in advance!

Maarten

You'll have to post/link some code. The only thing that you might check first is whether whether you have a form that being submitted inadvertently. Make sure the form has

action="" onsubmit="return false;"

I used a BASE url in the HTML head.
This screwed up the hyperlinks below the 'Close this tab' cross on the tab.
Removing the BASE tag fixed the problem.
Hope this helps someone in the future.

I had the same problem but we couldn't afford to eliminate the base tag. An alternate solution is:

beforeClose: function(/*Ext.TabPanelItem*/ tpi , ev){
if(window.event) { // for IE
window.event.cancelBubble = true;
window.event.returnValue = false;
}
...
}
