I want Mask feature.

This one is a sure thing, can't commit on time but it will happen.

Me three. I use this a lot and it would speed up production if it was a feature built in.

This is an often requested feature that is being considered. One of the things that stands in the way is browser support - although masking has been accepted into the W3C spec as of June 2013 (before it was only an experimental webkit feature), it is currently not supported by any other browsers but webkit ones.

The mask should be a 8-bit integer 1-channel matrix, which translates to opencv type CV_8U. In your case the mask is of type srcImage.type(), which is a 3-channel matrix
You are passing roi to the detector but you should be passing mask. When you are making changes to roi, you are also changing mask.
