View Full Version : Sorting in grid with PagingMemoryProxy

Wondering if anyone knows how to do this. I have a grid with a store configured with a PagingMemoryProxy. When I click on a column header in the grid the sort only addresses the data on the current page. I'd like it to sort the entire store. I thought maybe I could use the 'headerclick' or 'headertriggerclick' events on the column headers, thinking I'd manually force the store to resort based on the clicked column, but those events don't seem to ever get fired. Ideas?

If you click on the header, it should execute the sort method on the store.

Right. It should sort the store, but it only sorts the records visible on the grid page. I'm thinking there are two possibilities: 1) I'm missing something in the configuration of proxy/store/grid, or 2) something particular to the implementation of pagingmemoryproxy is working against this. PagingMemoryProxy has come in quite handy in several situations, so I'd like to be able to resolve this issue somehow. I'll post some code later to show how I'm setting things up.

I am trying to see the same result.
Could you post the working code.
