I'm using a third-party plugin for ExtJs Grid (so it's a problem most probably related to it and I won't post any code here) which happens to cause a misalingment error of grid header columns in IE6&7. Their width as I was able to check should be set to 140px but it ends up as a smaller value. That's why can anyone point me to the place in Ext core where the value of column dom element is being set ? I was able to trace it up to Ext.grid.ColumnLayout.calculateChildBoxes method but I'm getting proper values there so the error must be caused in letter part of the code execution. Thans for any help.

don't change the ext core, it's a bad practice.
wouldn't be easier to find the bug in the plugin ?
