View Full Version : Overriding Ext JS main stylesheet

I am looking into using EXTJS4 to leverage the grid functionality. One of the issues I am finding is that the grid relies on the main global "ext-all.css" in order to render the styles for the grid.

The reason this is an issue is "ext-all.css" contains generic styles (html, body, div,dl,dt,dd,ul,ol) for example that when included into my app, will override the styles we have set in our stylesheets.
Is there a way to circumvent the use of this stylesheet and just pull in the styles we need for the grid or do we have to modify ext-all.css.

thank you,
Marc

But you can always roll your own CSS using the Compass/SASS tools. That way you can optionally include (or exclude) the CSS bits you don't want. Look under the /resources/themes/ folder to see how the ExtJS SASS files are divided.
