Here is the firebug output for a data grid containing one row of data. Using 4.0.7.

<div id="gridpanel-1145-body" class="x-panel-body x-grid-body x-panel-body-default x-panel-body-default x-layout-fit" style="left: 0px; top: 23px;">
<div id="gridview-1150" class="x-grid-view x-fit-item x-grid-view-default x-unselectable" role="presentation" tabindex="-1" style="-moz-user-select: -moz-none; margin: 0pt;">
<table class="x-grid-table x-grid-table-resizer" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" style="width: 509px;">
<tbody>
<tr class="x-grid-header-row">
<tr class="x-grid-row x-grid-row-selected x-grid-row-focused">
<td id="ext-gen1262" class=" x-grid-cell x-grid-cell-gridcolumn-1147 x-grid-cell-first">
<div id="ext-gen1263" class="x-grid-cell-inner x-unselectable" style="; text-align: left;" unselectable="on">mydata visible here</div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
</div>
</div>

The same changes when we use 4.1

<div id="gridpanel-1390-body" class="x-panel-body x-grid-body x-panel-body-default x-panel-body-default x-layout-fit" style="left: 0px; top: 23px; width: 511px; height: 23px;">
<div id="gridview-1393" class="x-grid-view x-fit-item x-grid-view-default x-unselectable" style="overflow: auto; position: relative; -moz-user-select: -moz-none; margin: 0pt; width: 509px;" tabindex="-1">
<div id="ext-gen1737" style="position: absolute; width: 1px; height: 0px; top: 0pt; left: 0pt;"></div>
<table class="x-grid-table x-grid-table-resizer" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" style="width: 509px; position: absolute;">
<tbody>
<tr class="x-grid-header-row">
<tr class="x-grid-row ">
<td class=" x-grid-cell x-grid-cell-gridcolumn-1392 x-grid-cell-first">
<div class="x-grid-cell-inner " style="text-align: left; ;">my data not visible</div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
</div>
</div>

After fair amount of debugging, we concluded that the inline style attribute position: absolute caused the data not be visible.

In the output of 4.0.7, there wasn't any inline attribute position: absolute and data row was properly visible.

Any idea what does this mean and how to fix it ?

Only in case of panels this issue is observed.

Appreciate any help in this regard as this has blocked the upgrade from 4.0.7 to 4.1
