View Full Version : JSON TREESTORE

Hello Senchanites,I'm trying to populate a tree panel with only a part of the data from a particular node in a Json response object. I've seen others whom have 'sort of' accomplished this feat, but, the methods and logic are dizzying and I'm not convinced that it's the correct "Sencha" way of doing it. Here's an illustration of what I'm trying to do.

I was able to drill down to the Json node I need for the treestore and append an empty treestore with the values from the json plus added the necessary "children: []" and "leaf: false" attributes thanks to the power of Sencha's Model Association. With this approach, my treepanel looks correct, but, now my data is de-coupled from the original record and I can see the potential for this to turn into a nightmare when I attempt concatenate the records back together. So, what is the correct Sencha approach? How can I avoid building a data tracking nightmare? Thanks to all,-Darryl
