RowExander plugin: Populate data upon expansion

We're using the RowExpander plugin which works great but want to alter how it is employed so that the data is populated upon expanding the section rather than having to populate all the data up front. Populating the data up front makes it very slow to open the initial page. Since the user won't always want to see all data for all collapsed areas, it makes sense to only populate those they choose to look at.

Your ideas would be appreciated.

I do not believe this is possible as the rows have to be rendered. You will have to find another approach if this is not feasible.

Example: (form on column click)

I implement something like this by using the expandbody listener. It is passed the expandRow HTML element, so I make an AJAX call to retrieve the expanded data and add it to the expandRow element.
