View Full Version : Can the space below a gauge chart be removed?

19 Jun 2012, 6:09 AM
I am trying to put a number of charts into a limited space.
Apart from the bug reported elsewhere about height not being properly respected the main problem I seem to have is the space automatically inserted below a gauge chart.
This isn't padding, border etc, but seems to be something built into the svg (unless I am missing something basic).
The space is clearly visible in the Standard examples.

Is there a way to remove this so it will fit easier?

Have a look at insetPadding

I have tried that but it seems to be all or nothing.
I want to keep the defaults for the other sides.
I had assumed that it would follow the normal padding rules
e.g. insetPadding:"10 10 0 10" but this just made it totally screwed.

You might have to create an override:

Ext.override(Ext.chart.Chart, {

alignAxes: function() {
// copy function code, and make your changes to insetPadding
