View Full Version : CellEditor and releasing focus on FF tab switch

Using the EditorGrid to do some data entry. I am experiencing a problem where the user selects a cell to edit, then changes tabs in Firefox to collect information, then when they switch back to the Grid, the cell is in an interesting state. There is a cursor yet anything typed is not displayed nor saved in the DataModel.

From what I can tell, this tab switch causes a "blur" event, which hides the CellEditor for that cell, yet it does not give up focus on the text input, when you switch back to the page, the underlying (now hidden) input is focused but the cell is not in edit mode.

Just to make sure it was not an implementation issue on my part, I tested this behavior the EditorGrid blog post and the examples in the API docs and both have this same issue. Here are the steps: Use FireFox with multiple tabs open (with one of them open to the EditorGrid.) Select a (text based) cell for editing. Switch tabs and then back. Start typing.

Is this a known issue? Is it a bug? and are there any workarounds for this?

Thanks for you help,
