Hi, I am currently developing a web-oriented application with ExtJS. I use PostgreSQL as the database, and I wanted to know if it was possible to interface directly with ExtJS PGSQL.

For the moment, I overcomes my problem using ZEND, however I would like to avoid having a double MVC architecture for my application.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sencha/ExtJS uses client-side scripting and it doesnt know anything about your server. You can send request to the server which will return data back to you application. Any connection with database will pass on server side.

Afaik there is one project http://zefext.sourceforge.net/ but looks like it is dead.

I hope, following posts will help you.

You should not confuse client MVC with service side MVC .. each have their place.

Scott.

Thank you both for help. I think I forgot that JS was only called on client-side...
