View Full Version : [DUP] Error tooltips always seem to be 40px wide

I've noticed since upgrading to ExtJS 4.2 that the tooltips that appear, for instance when a field is invalid, are always 40px wide, which obscures the actual error message.

Here's a simple test case which illustrates the problem:

<html>
<head>
<title>Field error tooltips</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ext-4.2.0/resources/css/ext-all.css">
<script type="text/javascript" src="ext-4.2.0/ext-all-debug.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
Ext.onReady(function(){

var form = Ext.create("Ext.form.Panel",{
title: 'My form',
width: 300,
height: 100,
items: [
{xtype: 'textfield', name: 'FIELD1', fieldLabel: 'Field 1', allowBlank: false}
],
renderTo: Ext.getBody()
});
});
</script>
</body>
</html>

If you click in the text field and then click out of it without typing anything, it performs the validation and realises that the field is invalid. It then correctly displays the tooltip but it's the wrong size! Is there a way to tell the tooltip to be bigger?

Thanks!

This is still the case on the latest version of ExtJS 4.2, which I just downloaded from support.extjs.com.

It also occurs in Firefox, Chrome and IE.
