View Full Version : ExtJS outside a browser?

I'm new to ExtJS and I'm wondering if it's possible that the purely data-centric classes such as Model, Store, etc. can be used in standalone Javascript code, NOT running inside a browser (e.g. using Rhino). There could be server-based administrative tasks/functions or test-scripts that I would like to be able to execute using the same methods/models used by the GUI app, but without any connection to any running browser.

I'm hoping there is some way to load a limited portion of the framework? I tried loading ext-all.js and ext.js, in order to get access to the Data classes, but in both cases, it quickly bombs as 'navigator' is undefined.

Thanks for any info.
