Is there documentation somewhere that shows what a server needs to return for REST Proxy CRUD operations? I have looked through the API docs and can't seem to find anything. I've found some forum posts, but they're discussions of different things that were tried with some success - but I'm looking for actual documentation I can use to complete my server-side code.

While not documentation if you download the GPL SDK you check out the example in the example folder relative to this online example:
http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.0/extjs-build/examples/writer/writer.html

It's the best example I can think of and in the download even has the PHP used to return the CRUD response.

With that example you can see the data transactions in your browser dev tools in the network tab as they happen (Chrome dev tools or Firebug).

Thanks, that's what I needed. I had some of that information as background, but it was nice to have a working example to watch and see what was going forth and back.

Sure needs to be documented though.
