I'm afraid I'm not seeing the issue on my box with Win7 and IE8.
Out of curiosity, do you see the issue when testing with the current stable release: 4.2?

Yes, I have tested in 4.2 and I have the same results.

Tested in IE 8 and IE9. The combobox field retains the "blue" focused border following a select and tab out of the field.

Here is how I recreated:
1. Click on field
2. Type "A"
3. Press "TAB"

---Result of completing steps 1 - 3 is that the combobox textfield remains highlighted after losing focus.---

Ahh... I finally see what you're talking about now. Sorry about that. I wasn't seeing it at first, but did just now.
I tested with the latest Beta of 4.2.1 and it looks like that got fixed (tested in IE9 at least).

Thanks for raising the issue to us!
