Hey there, i am new to Ext js and liferay.
I wanted to create a liferay portlet in which Ext JS is used. Can anyone tell me the procedure how to perform that opertation ?
Rightnow I have Eclipsed on my machine and I have created a simple Hello World portlet in Liferay portlet using eclipse and server is tomcat for liferay!
I downloaded Ext JS 4.2.1 and copied a javascript file from examples folder into liferay portlet js folder and edited/included in liferay-portlet.xml file with this line:
<footer-portal-javascript>/js/editor.js</footer-portal-javascript>

In the view.jsp i added this line so that Editor.js could be shown:
<script type="text/javascript" src="/js/main.js"></script>

Am I doing anything wrong overever ? As js file does displays.

Thanks in advance !

I've no experience with liferay myself, though there may be some community members here on the forums with some experience that can help. Otherwise, I'm seeing some hits with searching on the liferay forums when searching for ExtJS (though you may have been appealing for help on that site as well):

Have you set up a basic project with just ExtJS to get a little experience with it outside of including it in liferay?
