Hello,

The SenchaConf talk said that Ext JS will get touch support. Is there already a time frame in which expect this? Will this be 4.3 or Ext JS 5? Are there any plans for Ext JS 5?

Please give us some insights at what the roadmap for Ext JS is.

Thanks,
Roland

There is a scheduled release date of Sept 12 for Ext 4.2.2.

Ext5 (touch support) is in the works, but we do not have a public release date at this time.

Regards,
Scott.

To clarify, Ext5 will support mobile devices, not that it will replace touch:

Hello jhacker7,

the difference is the focus of the framework. While Ext JS focuses on desktop-first and legacy-support, Sencha Touch focuses a edge technologies and mobile-first. Check out the opening presentation at Sencha Con for details.

Cheers,
Roland

Edit: Scott, you were faster. Nice job ;-)
