I am looking into a way to merge the grouping of rows and summary row into one. My gut feeling says I have to write my own feature which merges the two functionalities. Only before going that direction I am curious if anyone knows a better approach? Basically I have four columns which offer the space to render the group name into with the rest being used for summaries.

Any good ways to do deal with it? Before I start hours digging into the ExtJS code.

I would say that you would need to write your own ...

You may want to look at this:

Thanks! I wrote my own feature and messed around to make it work.

not sure if this is what you're after or not, but we have an example that uses grouping and summary together:

Yes, I have this summary per grouped rows. Only I also would like to have a summary of all rows at the bottom grid. It's suggested this can be done with the Summary feature that doesn't work well with the Grouping one.
