View Full Version : Minimum and Maximum property of Date Axes

We need the X axes to start from 01-Jan 2013 and end at 1-jul 2013.
And as I understand using fromDate , toDate or Minimum and Maximum should solve the issue. But the same does not seem to happen.
Find code below. (title alone is reflected from below code)

panel.axes.items[i].fromDate = new Date('01-jan-2013');
panel.axes.items[i].toDate = new Date(data.availableEndDay);
panel.axes.items[i].minimum = new Date('01-jan-2013');
panel.axes.items[i].maximum = new Date(data.availableEndDay);
panel.axes.items[i].title='From '+start+' to '+end;}

What kind of Axis are you using? You should use a time if you need to set fromDate, toDate, min and max values: http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.1/#!/api/Ext.chart.axis.Time-cfg-minimum

It is a time series
axes: [
{type: 'Time',
position: 'bottom',
fields: ['datetime'],
// title: 'Date',
dateFormat: 'j-M-Y',
step: [Ext.Date.MONTH, 1],
grid: true }

it works now after
chart.axes.items[1].forceMinMax = true;

But using chart.axes.items[1].constrain= true; makes the line disappear and without constrain, it extends beyond the y axes46260

I have been waiting for an update on this

I assume its a UI bug and needs sencha support
