According to the docs, you can control how it 'hides' - using visibility or display - by using the display mode constant.

However, I'm not sure how I do this. The constants are defined, but what do I do with it? Do I pass it into hide() or something else? Just not sure what to do.

Thanks!

:s Argh! I want to know exactly the same thing and your link isn't working! Do you think you can find it again, or post the answer? :-?

TIA

I'm betting it was this: http://extjs.com/deploy/ext/docs/output/Ext.Element.html#setVisibilityMode

setVisibilityMode has not worked for me. I have had to call

el.enableDisplayMode("block")

Hi, I try to animate the display of rows in a table. I use the following function and rows appear well using a fade animation.

I'd like to change the animation but I don't know how.
I'd like to animate it like an accordion. (scale ?)
Could you please help me ?

Thanks

var old = null;

function showMe(details) {
Ext.get(details).enableDisplayMode(Element.DISPLAY);
if (old!=null) Ext.get(old).hide(true);
if (details!=old) {
Ext.get(details).show();
old = details;
} else {
old = null;
}
}
