Hi, I read with interest about the Sencha Touch Specialist certification. I think I am well versed in most of those topics but there are a couple that I havn't used, for example routes. How is the exam structured, is there a time limit giving you a couple of minutes for each question or is there an overall time limit such as in the Apple Certification exams?

Thanks

;-)

I have asked our Certification Program Manager, Ray Gutierrez to respond to this post.

In general I would like some more info on this subject. I`m interested in taking the ExtJS exam, perhaps Ray could send me some info?

The Sencha Specialist certification exams have an overall time limit. All the questions are code-based, which means you'll have to interpret "given code" and then select the correct output that would be displayed if the code was executed. The current exam questions were developed using the latest public release of the Sencha frameworks (Sencha Touch 2.3 and Ext JS 4.2.1).

If you need more information, please feel free to send an email to training@sencha.com

A quick review: My exam took 120min with 100 questions and I hat to interpret given code most of the time. The most question was about “config” options. To answer it, I should learn Sencha's API. That’s not really useful. I can read it in their Docs. The code examples was too long (sometimes 2-3 screens). I needed too much time to read it. I think you should make shorter code examples or give us more time. Finally you need 80% to pass the exam. Good luck test takers
