View Full Version : show() window inside <div>?

I have a HTML structure like this:

<body>
<div id="appLayer">
<div id="someMenu"></div>
</div>
</body>

When I show() a window it gets rendered directly into the <body>

The problem is, I need <div id="someMenu"> to be over the windows.
Since IE7 has a z-index problem, the <div id="someMenu"> gets it's stacking-position from <div id="appLayer">.

But the applayer always has the size of the body, so if I move it in front of the windows, they disappear.

Is there a way to show() the windows, so their HTML appears inside of <div id="appLayer">?

Have you tried setting renderTo (http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.2/#!/api/Ext.window.Window-cfg-renderTo) to the <div> ID?

Thank you, this worked. But the load mask of the window still is still above everything (probably because it gets rendered to the <body> instead of the <div> where the window is in.

I tried this:

Ext.override( 'Ext.LoadMask', { renderTo: 'appLayer' } );

But the masks are still on top. Probably because the way their z-index is calculated.
The z-index of the menu is 999999.
