I noticed on the example:

http://try.sencha.com/extjs/4.0.7/examples/grid-filtering/grid-filter-local/

all the columns are one big row and unable to click each value in a column as a cell. How do we make it a cell?

Are you looking for cell-level selection? Just set a selModel on your grid:

http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.2/#!/api/Ext.selection.CellModel

Thank you that helped!

Is there another parameter I have to add to be able to highlight the text? I'd like to copy the contents of a cell. I came across a comment that said 4.1+ has a parameter called enableTextSelection, but it doesn't seem to be working?

var grid = Ext.create('Ext.grid.Panel', { border: false,
region: 'center',
indexes:['name','service_group','azul_version', 'host_tech','ait_num','app_name','data_center','filer_mounts','instnaces','env'],
store: store,
columns: createHeaders(10),
loadMask: true,
features: [filters],
width: 400,
layout: 'fit',
bbar: Ext.create('Ext.Toolbar'),
enableTextSelection : true,
selModel: {
selType: 'cellmodel'
}
});
