ExtJS 4.2.2

I have a grid in south region of a Panel using border layout with splitters.

5 grid columns use flex: 20 / 100 so they will have relative widths.

When I resize to make the grid bigger, the grid columns correctly grow, but when I then make the grid smaller, the columns do not get smaller.

This question is a little vague. What do you mean "resize to make the grid bigger"?

Once you manually resize a column, it has a fixed width now.

I have a grid in south region of a Panel using border layout with splitters. The use of the splitters means I can drag the splitters to resize the width of the south region, which thereby resizes the width of the grid. 5 grid columns use flex: 20 / 100 so they will have relative widths.

When I drag the splitter to make the grid bigger, the grid columns correctly grow in width (as they use flex 20/100), but when I subsequently drag the splitter to make the grid smaller, the columns widths do not get smaller.

Could you post some code or a Sencha Fiddle that demonstrates your problem?

From your description it sounds like something that might happen if you have an extra wrapper panel without a suitable layout.
