View Full Version : How to make a "reader" that posts JSON from a form?

Hi,

I'm new to ExtJS and need to implement a form that interfaces with a REST server.

In order to get the current values from the server, the application needs to post a JSON body from the form (the values can be empty).
The server then replies with the same JSON, but with the values filled out.
(So the read method does basically the same as the write method, but needs to use the result to fill in the form.)

I haven't seen any examples where the read method posts JSON. Any tips on how to do that?

Thanks
