View Full Version : Does Sencha Cmd need to be installed manually (bad for automated build processes).

We want to use Sencha Cmd to build our ExtJS 4.2 application, but I needed to manually install Sencha Cmd on my Windows machine when I started investigating using the tool.

But we have an automated build process any of the developers can execute simply by pulling from Git and executing the build script.

So for Sencha Cmd, is the installer really just an unpacker, that places the files on the file system? Or can we add the Sencha Cmd files into Git, and then just reference them at a consistent location and preserve our build flexibility?

The fact that Ruby is also used makes this even more interesting. Not sure if we can also add Ruby files to Git to avoid that manual install.
