I've created a very simple fiddle (https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/47q) using Ext JS 3.4.1.1 Classic. It only contains:

Ext.onReady(function() {
Ext.Msg.alert('Test', 'It works');
});

Now I add a new mock data source by clicking on the + button. The file just contains {} but its contents don't matter. Now when I run the fiddle (https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/47r), a javascript error occurs.

Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'setConfig'

The source of the error is in doFiddleStuff (code added by Fiddle). It calls

Ext.Loader.setConfig({...})

Ext.Loader does exist in Ext JS 3.4, but does not contain a setConfig method.
Versions prior to 3.4 don't have the Ext.Loader at all, so they will not have this problem.

Unfortunately for Ext JS 3 this is a much larger issue. In Ext JS 4 and Sencha Touch 2 there is a data simulator however there isn't one for Ext JS 3.
