Hello,

I am not able to find lookupReference in ViewController. I just have download latest copy of ExtJS framework (ext-5.0.0.736.zip) from
http://cdn.sencha.com/ext/beta/ext-5.0.0.736.zip

Thanks,
Sunil Patel

The public beta the method is getReference but in the next release and going forward it has been renamed to lookupReference.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on any release dates. I can say the next release will be GA and is close.

I was reading the ViewController blog http://www.sencha.com/blog/using-viewcontrollers-in-ext-js-5?mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRoluazJZKXonjHpfsX57e8kXKC0hYkz2EFye%2BLIHETpodcMTcFjNK%2BTFAwTG5toziV8R7PCKM1338YQWhPj (http://www.sencha.com/blog/using-viewcontrollers-in-ext-js-5?mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRoluazJZKXonjHpfsX57e8kXKC0hYkz2EFye%2BLIHETpodcMTcFjNK%2BTFAwTG5toziV8R7PCKM1338YQWhPj) and was also wondering why in my application the name of the method is getReference instead of lookupReference. I also tried using a listeners config with a named scope "controller" and I have an exception "Named method \"...\" requires a scope object". Is that also a feature that will work only in the next release?

I wonder why writing an article using stuff that is actually not available yet (although the article is really interesting)?

Yes, the scope functionality is also in the next release.
