Ext 4.2.2 has been out for a while, Ext5 was just released a few weeks ago.

Our concern is that we do not want to face any Ext JS framework issues once we start development.
So please advise us which is stable among versions 4.2.2 and 5.

Thanks.

With any software, there is no such thing as issue free.

4.2.2 has been out for a while but there are pending bugs that need to be patched.
5.0.0 has some of these fixes, but with any new release there are items that need to be corrected.

The advantage of 5.0.0 is that there are new features that make it really nice and it will be updated on a more regular basis since it is our latest release so it will be our primary.

4.2.x will have 1, possibly 2 more patches.

With the choice, I would start with Ext5 since it was built on 4.2 and seems very solid.

It is not like the move from Ext3 to Ext4 where it was a complete overhaul and a lot of issues needed to be corrected.
