On IE 8 the border color doesn't shows up, see https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/9qb but this work in Chrome and IE 11.

The background/border framing in legacy browsers is supplied by background images by using the slicer because they don't support border radius. I don't see this as something we'll be able to "fix" in any kind of reasonable way.

Well, it does work in other context in IE 8... like the example from Sencha at: http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/5.0.1/#!/api/Ext.fx.Anim

The reason that works is that components are not framed by default. Things like buttons/panels/windows are. You can see if you compare the markup generated for IE8 vs Chrome.

The only way to make it work in IE8 is to use SASS to style the window. When you build the sass using Sencha Cmd, the slicer will run and generate the background images you need for rounded corners in IE8

Without involving the slicer do we have a way to hide the entire border on IE8 ?
