View Full Version : Add buttons to tabpanel tab header

I've searched some hours, but did not find any solution for my question. Using ExtJS, I have a Ext.tab.Panel, for which I require to add buttons to some tabs with extra functionality. Most tabs are "closable: true" so they have a "x" on the top right of the panel header for closing the tab. What I need is a functionality like the "tools" configuration of panels and windows, so I can add extra functionionality to the tab panel header right beside the "x" button:

Does anybody have a solution for this task?

Tabs are derived from Ext.button.Button. They're not containers so you can't pass them items like tools.
You might take a look at how the button, tab, and tabbar handle the close element and clicks on it to get an idea how you might override Tab to allow additional clickable elements.
