Hi,

I have a grid panel at the end of which I would like to display some text. I do not want it to be a docked item. It should be part of the grid body. Like a summary but it should be a text area.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

Why the need for it to be in the grid body? You'll likely have to create your own feature/plugin extending from one of the abstract base features/plugins.

I'd go with a textarea in a bbar config.

bbar: {
xtype: 'toolbar',
height: 60,
layout: 'fit',
items: {
xtype: 'textarea'
}
}

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the reply.

The bbar will still be a docked item. The text I need to display is several paragraphs long. Sort of like a Disclaimer. If its a docked Item, it takes up most of the display space. Hence, I want it in the scrollable part of the grid, i.e, the grid body.

I do not want it to be collapsible panel either. Any help on how I should go about creating my own feature or plugin to achieve this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Muneer.

The fiddle below will render a textarea after the grid's view element.
