View Full Version : Grid with remote dynamic store

Hey guys,
I have a remote store that grows dynamically and I show the data using grid (store is set up using proxy, and grid using 'bufferedrenderer' plugin).
I have 2 questions:
1. As the store grows, the total count updates, but the grid scroll bar is not updated. Meaning, If at start the store had 1000 records, and after 10 seconds the store has 2000 records - if you go down to the end of the grid using the scroll bar only (the one in the right side..) - you will move to the 1000th record, and only if you keep scrolling after using the mouse scroll wheel you can get the records beyond 1000... How can I keep the scroll bar updated too and match the total count?
2. I have seen this problem was solved in version 5 - but it is still present in versions 4.x: When getting to the end of grid, to the last records, some of the records are not shown and you get this error:

[E] Ext.data.PageMap.getRange(): PageMap asked for range which it does not have
Is there any way to manually patch this bug? As I mentioned - it was fixed in version 5, but we still use version 4.x and I would like to fix it.

Thanks!!!!

In which specific version of 4.x are you seeing this?

Sounds like this issue:

I'm afraid I don't currently have a workaround for this.

I don't have permission to access that page :s

Anyways - no solution for both things? What about number 1 - updating the scroll bar? If I do load, it updates the scroll bar, but then you jump back to the top of the grid - I want it to update the scroll bar without changing the current view..

Thanks again!

Here's another thread with that issue:

As far as issue 1, are you able to recreate the behavior in a Fiddle?
