Hi, I have a problem with the grid in the Ext 6 modern toolkit. I cannot get the grid to fill the page and the columns to respond to their flex configurations. If I set widths on the columns I get this:

But when I remove the widths and add flex I get this:

The panel the grid is in has layout : 'fit', but this doesn't seem to make the columns stretch to fill the available space.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

Flexing isn't currently supported in the modern grid, we're looking to add that feature soon.

Is there any other way to make the grid fill the panel even if it means having no control over the width of the columns?

Sure - try setting the layout on the panel to fit and make sure the grid is the only child item.

I tried that. If the columns don't have a width they just get rendered inline, don't remain aligned to each other and don't fill the available space.

Here's a package with a plugin for supporting flex on modern grids: https://github.com/JarvusInnovations/jarvus-gridflex
