View Full Version : Theming tutorial Generate Workspace issue

I'm new to ExtJS. I'm trying to go through the tutorial for theming (http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.1/#!/guide/theming), but I'm not getting the "ext" folder generated. Instead, it's just "packages" and ".sencha". I'm running 4.2.1, so passing the right version to the generate workspace command.
I tried upgrading the Command to 6.0 after reading about similar issues, but I get Error "Cannot download SenchaCmd- - not found at http://cdn(...)".
I didn't find any other pointers. What's the solution to this?

Here's that command from the theming doc you referenced:

sencha -sdk ~/ext-4.2.0 generate workspace my-workspace

In that example, '~/ext-4.2.0' points to a valid installation. Are you sure that you have the correct path to your Ext JS 4.2.1 installation?

As far as upgrading, you'll need to download the Cmd 6 executable and do a fresh install as there is an upgrade bug in a recent version.

Thanks, it seems that was the issue. I'm getting XMLHttpRequest cannot load file:///C:/Development/my-workspace/theme-demo-app/bootstrap.json now though. This error is showing up in the console after I've built the app.

That error is occurring when you try to run the app? Were there any errors when you created the app, or when you subsequently built it?

No errors when creating/building the app.
