View Full Version : [DUP] emptyText cropped on double quotes

Consider this example (https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/roj):

Ext.widget({
xtype: 'textfield',
renderTo: Ext.getBody(),
listeners: {
'afterrender': function(f) {
if (f.emptyText && f.getRawValue().length < 1) {
//f.applyEmptyText();
}
}
},
emptyText: 'word in "quotes"'
});

Testing in Chrome 44.0.2403.125 (64-bit) on Linux.

The emptyText value initially reads word in instead of expected word in "quotes", i.e. it is cropped on the first double quote. Only once applyEmptyText() is internally called (after field reset, for example) the emptyText value appears in full.

As a temporary fix I am calling applyEmptyText() on afterrender.
