Hi all,

I have the following piece of code.

Ext.define('Fiddle.view.test', { extend: 'Ext.container.Container',
xtype: 'test',
items: [{
xtype: 'grid',
store: [{

}],
columns: [{
header: 'test',
width: 300,
columns: [{
header: 'woof'
}]
}]
}]
});

Ext.application({
name : 'Fiddle',

launch : function() {
Ext.create('Fiddle.view.test', {renderTo: Ext.getBody()});
}
});

Now the width of the 'master' column is set to 300 but it actually is 100. Why is this?

A parent column of a grouped header grid takes its width from the sum of it's child column widths, so you'll need to set widths on the child columns. Starting in 5.x there is a warning in the console when you try this.

After playing around with it for some time, that's the conclusion I came to. Thanks for the help!
