What should I put into .gitignore when using the JetBrains plugin?

The Sencha JetBrains plugin doesn't create any additional files in your project, so the .gitignore file doesn't have to change.

What about the directory .idea? What is this? Should this be in .gitignore?

The .idea directory is created by the IDE and holds metadata about your project. Here's the advice from JetBrains about how to manage the .idea directory in source control:

That was confusing! From reading the comments under that article, it seems like JetBrains does not have it under control yet.

I have noticed that other .gitignore files on the web just ignore the .idea directory. Does anyone have any experience with doing that?

For what it's worth, I've always added the entire .idea directory to .gitignore in all of the projects I've worked on.

Thanks! I'll just give that a try and see if it causes problems moving the project from computer to computer.
