For anyone who hasn't seen:

http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.2.0-classic/

Is this going to replace JSDuck? or is it the new JSDuck?

Thanks for the feedback! The new docs are not created with JSDuck anymore. Here's a post with more information:

I do love the new docs mostly and the new working code samples are very very nice. Also it's responsive so that's nice, and liking the flat style overall.

I have a few small dislikes:

- I miss the tabs a lot, they were very useful, cannot overemphasize how I miss them

- elements seem unnaturally large on a desktop (buttons, etc), it makes it hard to scan and use

- I miss the easy to scan colourful icons. For example if you do a search, old docs had icons indicating whether result is a method, event, etc, and the buttons at the top (methods, events, properties) used to be color-coded

- the section titles ("Configs", "Properties") don't visually separate areas sufficiently, I would give them a different colour background. Same with the properties themselves they blend together a little too much, but that may be because of the overly large text?

Basically the new design is not as easy to scan visually due to a combination of monochromatic color scheme and sizing of the elements, imo.

I totally agree with LailaAgaev, I think the "old" version was more usable.
I'll add that the Fiddle part doesn't seems to work (at least for me - tested FF, FF Dev Edition, IE and Edge).

When was the last time you tried? There was an issue on fiddle's part that was fixed yesterday afternoon (EST zone) that should resolve the issue and does for the internal people that had the issue as well. There are some examples that use classes not in ext-all.js or the charts lib (like d3) that currently are not working as the doc examples need to include that separate JS file but examples that are in ext-all.js should work.

I tried 10 minutes before writing my previous post.
Just tried now and here is the error the developer console gave me :
"NetworkError: Failed to load worker script at "http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/5.1.2/js/worker-javascript.js" "
On the "network" tab, there are 7 "404 errors" for this file. ("The requested URL /extjs/5.1.2/js/worker-javascript.js was not found on this server.")

Are there any plans for :
- tab returns ?
- Having properties of the parent(s) class(es) in the child's doc ? (Ext.panel.panel properties / methods / events aren't showed on Ext.form.Panel' page)

Thanks

The worker-javascript.js has nothing to do with fiddle, that's just what Ace editor loads for it's uses (things like JSLint and such).

However, loading 5.1.2 docs, this page does not load the fiddle http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/5.1.2/Ext.form.field.Text.html and looks like the docs are not loading the example in fiddle. However, if you look at the 6.2.0 version it works: http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.2.0-classic/Ext.form.field.Text.html so something up with the docs.

Sorry, I cannot answer your questions, I'm not on the documentation team responsible for these docs. I'm only on the fiddle side of things which is why I asked about that.

For the properties on parent classes, at the top-right do you have the Inherited checkbox checked?

Actually, I think I am able to work around docs stuff for the 5.1.2 version. It should be working for you now.

No problems.

Please put the tabs back!!!! :((
I often bounce between classes in the docs (for example, store to grid to table). The lack of tabs makes this very difficult!!

I was a bit sad to see the tabs go, but now I prefer not having tabs. I just use my browsers tabs and navigation. Works a bit better for me and the docs are less cluttered.
