View Full Version : How to detect internationalized string (hard-coded)

Hi there,

We are building our application using ExtJS 4 and have been developing it for years.

Now we'd love to internationalize our program. We had internationalization before in ExtJS, but during these years, developers sometimes just put in some hard-coded strings into the UI (instead of using variable, resource for internationalization file).

My question is that is there any feature or plug-in that can help identify those hard-coded strings?

We use ReSharper to inspect these hard-coded strings in the backend, but it doesn't perform quite well in inspecting JS files. I wonder if anyone knows some plug-in that is suitable for inspecting ExtJS (or general JS) hard-coded string?

It may be easier to simply compile a list of the configs in Ext JS that would be candidates for having these strings (e.g., title, header, text, html, etc), and begin your search there.
