Hi all,

I'm writing a small Ext app to help manage my company's paper files. We have cabinets, and in each cabinet we have a number of files. At any time, an employee can have any number of files from a cabinet "checked out." I'm wondering what the best way to represent this in my UI would be (i.e., which controls would be easiest/best to use)....

I thought of creating a window with a bunch of checkboxes (1 for each not-checked-out file), but that seems a bit clunky.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would want to use a grid, with a database backend. this would also allow you to have more than one attribute for each record as well (such as who has it checked out, time, etc), and display them in a well orginized manner.
if you needed to have separate grids per cabinet/drawer/etc, i would consider using a tabPanel with each grid as a tab.
