I really wish Architect supported Ext.dataview.DataView (xtype: dataview) useComponents=true

With the ability to create components of type Ext.dataview.ListItem (xtype: listitem) for use in the component.

This feature was available in older versions of architect under Sencha Touch.

It was removed. Is there any hope of bringing it back?

Hello carl23934,
Components which you mentioned (dataview, listitem) are still in SA, under modern toolkit.
Documentation which you attached refers to modern toolkit and as far as I see this feature was not removed. In case that I am wrong please correct me.

Ok, I think I misunderstood the fact that this is ONLY a modern toolkit feature, as it originated in Sencha Touch.

I am currently looking to use it in an application using the Classic toolkit.

When will these frameworks be merged together so great features such as UseComponents can be used in both Modern and Classic?

I've been a Sencha user for a very long time and it's incredibly frustrating when cool new features are only available in one side of the framework. They are still not merged. Modern is Touch and Classic is ExtJs, so you may as well not rename them until all the features are merged. [End Rant]

I see. In that case you should post the feature request in the ExtJS forums https://www.sencha.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?4-Sencha-Ext-JS-Feature-Requests

But the same thing in classic should do the Ext.view.View http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.2.0/classic/Ext.view.View.html
It even has the same xtype: 'dataview'

Yes, but the Ext 6.2 Classic version does not support "UseComponents" at this time. :(
