Hi,

I'm new to ext js and trying to understand Viewport.
I'm using the complex layout example as a working basis for my design. Now I've added a textarea in my south region and I need a button at the right side of this textarea.
Here is the code:

items:[{
xtype: 'textarea',
hidelable: false,
name: 'msg',
width: '80%',
height: '50px',
style: 'textarea'

},{

xtype: 'button',
hidelable: false,
name: 'send',
width: '10%',
height: '40px',
text: 'Accept'

}]
But this code only sets one item below the other. ;)
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Have you looked at the layout-browser example? You might be interested in column or table layout. You could also check the combination example of this example that uses the absolute layout (email sample).

Hi,
ok that's strange; when I open the layout browser lokally, I don't have this layout-tree. Now I see more possibilities :)
Thanks very much

A few of the examples assume php is available from the local server (including json_encode support and including short tag support for php).
