Version: Ext JS 6.5.0.775 - Triton

OS: OSX

Browser tested: Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)

Toolkit: Modern

Description: the triggerEvent property is used to set either single or double tap to show the grideditable slide in form worked in 6.2.1, falis in 6.50

Fiddle: to see it working set version to Modern - Ext JS 6.2.1.167 - Triton ... to see it failing set version to Modern - Ext JS 6.5.0.775 - Triton

This is an issue with the docs. The event should match those fired by the grid. In this case it should be 'childsingletap' or 'childdoubletap'.

Actually, Evan, I see that the docs do refer to : triggerEvent defaults to 'childdoublettap' .. sorry, did not look.

but while on the subject of Docs ... the docs in 6.5.0 have lost the "events" tab completely for the grideditable plugin

I created EXTJS-25461 to track the missing events tab issue in the docs.
