Im on Sencha Test 2.1.2.1 Trial on Mac Os X sierra 10.12.6

1. It finds only Chrome browser and only under 'Embeded',
2. I don't see any Local browsers header nor icon nor menuoption
3. I do have Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Brave installed

For WebDriver scenarios (which is the type of scenario you have in the screenshot above), only Chrome is enabled by default, as part of the Embedded Selenium Server.

To enable additional browsers under a WebDriver scenario, you need to configure a separate standalone Selenium Server, or leverage a third party service like Sauce Labs.

If you want to add additional local browsers, we have some high level steps on how to setup a standalone Selenium Server here: http://docs.sencha.com/sencha_test/2.1.1/guides/standalone_selenium_servers.html.

Thanks for the reply Daniel. Since I am interested in 'in-browser' (no webdriver) scenarios.
How can I access/create such a scenario?

Btw. I'm on a trial license.

First, in the Preferences window within Sencha Studio, make sure the Role is set to "Developer".

Then, when you create a new Scenario, you should have the option to choose between In-Browser or WebDriver.

Apparently I was working under the "Automation Engineer" Role. Thanks for the help.

PS. I find the color scheme of the buttons is confusing
