I am running Sencha Test 2.1, when i try and use event recorder with Chrome 62 the browser pulls up and then crashes. Does this have anything to do with the embedded webdriver trying to user chromedriver v2.29 and not .33?

Does event recorder only work with the embedded drivers?

We have this as a known issue, which requires our further investigation. If you have the ability to downgrade to Chrome 61, that should resolve the issue for now.

thank you,

will the event recorder work with stand alone selenium pools or only embedded?

It doesn't appear to work with Chrome 62 on a standalone Selenium Server either. So the best option for now is to downgrade Chrome, and use the embedded server.

Thanks.

Any updates on this issue? Downgrading and Upgrading and Downgrading is not something easy with chrome or nice to do each time we need the recorder

Thank you

Found a solution here.
1 Go to sencha/test/selenium
2 Update selenium-config.json file and replace chromedriver version 2.29 with 2.35
3. Download chromedriver 2.35 and place it into the sencha/test/selenium/chromedriver folder
4. Rename with same patern: `2.35-x64-chromedriver`

Good luck in recording again.
