I have added a listener to a tab panel so that when a tab is activated it calls a function. I am wondering where in the API Documentation can I find out what other valid events are there that I could use with the listeners other than activate:

Does someone know of a link where it just lists these or where in the API Documentation I can find them.

Are you asking about events on a tab within a TabPanel?

See TabPanel API (http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/docs/?class=Ext.TabPanel)

The description at the top includes:

[QUOTE]There is no actual tab class

You can look in the docs under TabPanel... The events are the built in things you can listen for. You can create any custom events through the addEvents() function. As long as your tab panel knows about the other object that fires the event and has a valid listener it will execute the function.

tabPanelObj.on("add",function(){//code},this); //executes the code in the anonymous function
tabPanelObj.on("close",this.closeTab,this); //executes a function within the object

or if you have another object firing an event that you want the tab panel to listen for:

otherObj.on("eventfiredbyotherobject",function(argspassed){//code},this);

on the other object you need to register and fire the event

otherObj.addEvents("eventfiredbyotherobject");
otherObje.fireEvent("eventfiredbyotherobject",argstopass);
