Hello,

I am looking into upgrading from Ext 1.1 and I got into this "problem". In Ext 1.1 my tooltips were white and rounded borders something like the error tooltip in this example http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/form/adv-vtypes.html (type a wrong date to see the tooltip).

However what I am getting is a new blue tooltip like these http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/simple-widgets/qtips.html (even though I set the gray theme).

My questions if somebody can answer them to me:

1. How can I change my tooltip into the white rounded border one? (I did not see it anywhere in docs, but maybe I missed it)
2. If I have a gray theme why is the tooltip blue and not gray?

thanks,
J.

I would suspect the author of your theme did not include the css changes for the qtip class. I would recommend inspecting the dom with firebug, but its probably pretty difficult to inspect an element that disappears when the mouse leaves it ;)
You could certainly look around in the ext css files for classes with names that seem appropriate though.

Thanks for your reply.

As far as I know, the tooltip is in the themes coming with Ext. I mean one of the samples has it (the error tooltip) but the other one (just generic tooltips) doesn't.
I figure its some configuration issue but couldn't see anything related to it in the docs and google is clueless, too.

thanks,
J.
