draws an expanding box around the item ...
try this:
e.frame("#ff0000", 5);
first argument is color, second is number of times to run the animation.

Look at core/Fx.js, it documents it

I wrote that code originally, though it's been much improved by Jack.

It draws a border round the element in a specified colour, and then "explodes" it. It expands the border outwards while increasing ots opacity until it fades away. You can specify how many of these "ripples" you want to see.

That sounds very cool! I found it by looking through the Fx docs, but every time I try it, it does nothing. Is there an example somewhere? All the other Fx work. Just me perhaps... :-|
